Looking forward to Spring

I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to

S P R I N G

I love my wooly jumpers and toasty fire but I think I've had enough now.
Thankfully Greengate's Spring/Summer catalogue is out to give me a little Spring injection.

How pretty are these flowers and pretty printed crockery?

Hard to imaging dining outside at the minute but I can't wait to set my table in the sunshine and start eating alfresco again!

Totally in love with this coffee machine (particularly as mine has broken and I am missing my morning americano so much !!)

Loving all the greys in their new range of cushions.

I think I forget what it feels like to have the sun shining on my face!

You can view all these images and lots more on the Greengate website here.

Hurry up Spring I'm waiting for you ... I'm ready for you :O)

So over 50 shades of Grey

I don't know about you but I am in need of sunshine.  I've been oohing and ahhhing at all the "spring flower" pics on pinterest and suddenly thought "I wonder if the Greengate summer catalogue is out yet".  And if by magic there it was!

So if you're sick of the fifty shades of grey our sky is delivering, grab yourself a lemonade and sunscreen and feel the sun shining on your face as I give you some snippets of sunshine from Greengate's Summer 2013 catalogue (Full version available here)

Ok just a little bit of grey before we move on ... you've got to admit it's pretty!!

Gosh I so want an ice cream van !!

How cute are the bunny rabbit candles.  I just know if I had them they would never get lit !

I can't wait for my roses to start blooming.

Come on Summer Sunshine, hurry up and head our way!

Loving this bike that appeared in the catalogue.  I've been toying with some bike appliques and this has given me the push to get them finished.  As for the ducks .... toooooooo cute !!!

Hope that brought a little sunshine your way!

What do you do when you feel grey?  Would love to hear what helps you get through the grey January days.

Greengate Winter 2012 catalogue. It's here!

It's that time of year

The Autumn/Winter Greengate Catalogue is available to view here

I've included just a few snippets

Just to show you it's worth the visit.

There's quite a few colour schemes throughout.  Lots of 50's inspired pastels and of course some grey and red combos too.

I just love this cushion.  Very in keeping with the "free motion embroidery" trend.

This tea towel is just gorgeous!  I wonder if they were inspired by Jenny Arnott though with the jug of flowers?? I hope this isn't another M&S like situation??

How adorable is this little cupcake house?  I don't think I'd be able to bring myself to use the cupcake cases though, could you??

And this tea towel is sure to brighten up dishwashing time!  I'd be there ready to dry the dishes in a flash if I had a pile of these on standby.  Ok maybe not but I'd still like a pile of them on standby :O)

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

I've been busy busy with my Kids Summer Sewing Camps.  Having SEW much fun with them.  We've made  pincushions, bags, door signs and dolls.  Have lots of pics to share soon.

What's everyone else been up to??

A Greengate summer

Summer is on the way .... well the Greengate Summer catalogue is out so it can't be that far away :O)

I can't say I was jumping head over heels when I opened it but maybe that's because I've seen so much of it in blogland in the last couple of years.  However, despite that it's still really pretty to look through.  You can see the full catalogue here and all the images below are from that link.

I love the car and caravan above. I know I've been lusting after my beloved Nissan Figaro for years but I'd be quite happy with one of these.

I love the floral and gingham mix that's going on.  I've already had my fabric statsh out matching ginghams and prints for some new bags and cushions that I've been busy sketching.

I really like this bike applique cushion.  Probably because it reminds me of my Grandad's bike outside the cottage.  I might have to make my own version.  Another one to add to my ever expanding list!!  Honestly, sometimes I think I should just give up on blogs and pinterest and all the rest because I'm pretty sure in my lifetime I will never get through all the tutorials and sketches and to do lists I have !!  But it's great to get the creative juices flowing so fear not pinterest and blogland I'm not going anywhere.

Finally I'm LOVING the gingham bow.  I'm really into bows.  Not sure I'd be brave enough for this look but I might just try it.  Afterall I went out with pigtails the other day!

So there you go.  A little Greengate summer injection for you all.

I'm dying to get out in the garden this year.  It was very neglected last year as I was busy with the knitting world record but I'm determined to get lots done this year (famous last words!).

Anyone got any recommendations for some cottage flowers (easy to grow!) ???
