Worldwide Knit In Public Day

Has everyone been out knitting celebrating WWKIPD?

I did my bit by going to our local park on a very chilly windy day! The first time I've brought a brolly to the event in all the years I'm doing it !

Needless to say I was on my own with clouds looming overhead and the wind blowing my picnic rug and wool all over the place

But I soldiered on ...

As my mum (camera woman) said "there's no point in being mad if you can't show it"

However I was not alone .... Teresa and Sarah came to join us

Needless to say we only lasted an hour but we did our bit for the knitters out there and finished off the afternoon with a cuppa and a slice of cake.

Did anyone else do anything for KIPD? I've seen some fab events mentioned on Facebook over the past week.

Keeeeeeeeeeeeep stitching!

Have a lovely weekend x

  3. Good for you!

Unfortunately we didn't just have a chilly wind we had constant rain all day, so it would have been impossible to get out with my needles ...I decided to do a few rows inside instead!

    Happy Knitting
