First Christmas Mag!
I only went to buy milk!
But then I saw it there on the shelf and couldn't leave it - The Christmas Magazine.
I came home made myself an americano, got the cookie jar out and sat down for a read.
I'm afraid I was pretty disappointed.
Apart from these two projects (which I like more for the use of colours than the projects themselves) I think I should have left it on the shelf.
Maybe I'm being a bit harsh - let me know what you think if you've got it??

I went to get the Ideal Home Christmas magazine, but it wasn't on the shelves of my local Asda. Its meant to be out this afternoon. I will try at the co-op this afternoon. I am excited for Christmas for once!
ReplyDeleteYou don't need a magazine for inspiration, surely!
I must admit that I gave up buying the Christmas special magazines a few years ago - they seem to be all fluff and no substance, and the ideas are very rarely new. That makes me sound a complete Bah Humbug but I love Christmas, I would just rather spend my cash on a craft book instead.
ReplyDeleteI bought this mag two years back and felt the same, disappointed. I saw it last year and this and thought no...
ReplyDeleteIf they did not have a wrapper around it, no one would buy it because they could look inside!
What a shame that it was disappointing - I think this happens quite often when the cover looks enticing but the content lets it down.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one looking forward to Christmas already!

ReplyDeleteas long as the coffee was great it's not a total loss!
I Agreed with you michelle,I got it a week ago and i was disappointed.no new ideas and the Decorations are very tacky. I wont buy it again next year!!

Michelle, I stopped buying themed magazined years ago because I was so disappointed with them... What I do usually like though is the Christmas issue of a couple of Australian magazines that always seem to come up with something that interests me. Unfortunately, one of those mags, NOTEBOOK is no longer. This month was it's last...now that's a real disappointment!!
ReplyDeleteFunnliy though, I was thinking of making pretty shoulder bags for the kids pressies this year rather than stockings or just wrapped in pretty paper. That way they'll have an extra gift to go with the rest.
